"One Belt and One Road" Scholarship

Recently Beijing introduced an implementation plan of connection and co-construction of "One Belt and One Road" (B&R) educational action, through the establishment of special scholarships to attract high-level, excellent talent from B&R countries to study in Beijing. According to the plan, they will support 20 projects every year.

It is known that the B&R special scholarship projects support a total of five terms of students. In 2017, 11 projects of 11 municipal colleges and 21 projects of 21 subordinate colleges were selected and 502 students were supported. The selected projects involve aerospace, electrical engineering, railway operations, law, Chinese medicine, finance, architecture, electronic information engineering and other professions and involve 64 countries along the B&R. After five years of construction, a total of 100 projects will be supported by 2020.

The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation

After successfully hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics and the APEC Leaders' Meeting in 2014, On May 14, 2017. The ancient capital Beijing, which has a history of more than 3,000 years, will usher in a grand meeting “The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation”. Less than a week before the opening of the world-famous forum, various service and security work were steadily promoted. The National Convention Center and and Yanqi Lake International Conference Center have been waiting for the participants and the recruitment and training of volunteer team has been completed.
