About Nanjing University of Science and Technology / NJUST
Founded in 1953, is one of the key universities in China under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is listed in the first group of universities chosen to be part of China’s “211 Project”, which is designed to develop a hundred first-rate universities during the 21st century. The university has over sixty years experience in providing inspiring and broadened-horizon education. It has become a multi-disciplinary university comprising academic fields including: science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, business, management, law and education. In addition, NJUST encompasses a wide array of centers, institutes, programs, and administrative support offices. NJUST carries on its education and research on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in 15 schools, led by a total of 70 undergraduate majors, 116 master programs and 49 doctoral programs, and 14 Post-doctoral research stations. NJUST is one of the entrusted universities to provide various types of scholarships with international students. Furthermore, NJUST has set up the popular Scholarship—‘Nanjing Municipal Government—Nanjing University of Science & Technology Joint Scholarship’. In 2014 and 2015, nearly 800 degree students from 60 countries were awarded these scholarships.
